University Administration

University Administration is responsible for fulfilling TU Dortmund University’s tasks in planning, administration, and legal affairs. The administrative matters of the university’s bodies and committees are also looked after exclusively by University Administration. In particular, it assists the deans with their tasks. As a member of the rectorate, the Chancellor heads University Administration. He/she supervises the non-academic staff and is Budget Officer.

University Administration sees itself as a service facility for (prospective) students, teaching and other staff, researchers, and all other members of the university. In this context, it aligns its structure and processes to provide infrastructure-related services in a demand-oriented, timely, and client-driven manner and thus to support the university’s core tasks in teaching and research over the long term. These principles are also anchored in University Administration’s mission statement.
