Office of Controlling and Risk Management

Controlling is responsible for providing the information needed to help decision-makers in the strategic planning and operational management of the university. Tasks are divided into three main areas:

  • Financial controlling with budget and investment planning
  • Reporting (e.g. third-party funding and personnel reports) and service point for Central Reporting, with the help of the cognos business intelligence system
  • Risk management

Risk Management identifies possible structural, strategic, financial, and organizational risks for the university and evaluates them under consideration of their probability of occurring and of the potential damage. The team then indicates the measures to be taken, where necessary.
