Dropping Out of College & Looking for an Apprenticeship
For students considering dropping out of school, our external counseling network—comprising the Dortmund Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the Dortmund Chamber of Crafts (HWK), and the Employment Agency’s university team—offers on-campus counseling sessions. Our network partners can advise you on vocational training, career opportunities, and general questions about choosing a degree program or apprenticeship. In addition, they can help you get in touch with suitable companies offering apprenticeships.

- Are looking for advice on choosing a degree program geared toward the job market
- Want to further develop your career goals

- are looking for an apprenticeship or a practical training position for a dual degree program
- want to learn about developments in the job market

By scheduling an appointment in advance, you’ll help the university team coordinate appointments, avoid wait times, and prepare for your inquiry.
