Study Opportunities at the UA Ruhr
The University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) offers students many opportunities to combine subjects at different locations and make use of its facilities. The universities combine their respective strengths in four joint degree courses.

Admission to courses
Cross-location Teacher Training Program
In the so-called split study program in the teaching profession, it is possible to study at two locations at the same time if the second desired subject is not offered at the home university. For example, the first subject can be studied at TU Dortmund University and the second subject at Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

The UA Ruhr universities offer add-on subjects based on their respective models of their teacher training program, with which the teaching qualification for a third teaching subject can be acquired.

TU Dortmund University is part of the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr), which was founded in 2007, alongside Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen. "Better together" - this is the motto under which the three major universities work closely together. There are now over 100 collaborations in research, teaching and administration.
