Ethics Commission of TU Dortmund University
The Joint Ethics Committee advises and supports scientists of TU Dortmund University in legal and ethical questions related to the execution of research projects prior to their start or application.
The Commission examines the research projects in particular with regard to the protection of human dignity and the autonomy and self-determination of those people involved in the research. It also deals with data protection issues.
Current information on applications: In 2022, a total of 54 applications were submitted to the Joint Ethics Committee and reviewed. The average time from submission to issuance of the vote was 6.6 weeks. Therefore, please expect a review time of 6-8 weeks.
