Supplementary tutorials, exercises and lectures revisit and deepen the key topics covered in your courses. This allows you to consolidate your knowledge and prepare effectively for your exams.

There is also a wide range of workshops and courses on topics such as study organisation, foreign languages, academic writing, data literacy and AI, makerspace projects, and entrepreneurship.

Achieve success at your own pace

With studium+, you receive an extended alternative study plan. The plan shows you when you can take part in studium⁺ activities and how you can schedule your regular courses, giving you time and space for both at the beginning of your studies.

The study plan is a recommendation. Depending on your individual situation, your study plan may differ from the recommended plan.

You can find the alternative study plans in the programme overview on the studium+ page of your department.

The programme includes subject-related and interdisciplinary offerings:

  • Subject-related offerings complement the content of your degree programme and help you consolidate and deepen your knowledge.
  • Interdisciplinary offerings support you, for example, in preparing for exams and give you the opportunity to explore topics beyond your own field of study.

To successfully complete studium+, you need to earn 30 ECTS credits, including at least 20 ECTS credits from subject-related offerings. Depending on your degree programme, you may also be required to complete certain mandatory modules. The ECTS credits earned through these modules count towards the required 30 ECTS credits.

You can also earn additional ECTS credits on a voluntary basis.

You can find an overview of the studium+ offerings available for your degree programme in the Programme Overview on the studium+ page of your department.

To see which courses are offered in a particular semester, check the course catalogue under “studium+”.

Yes. In general, you can choose which studium⁺ offerings you want to take part in. Exceptions may apply to certain mandatory modules.

Please note that you need to earn at least 30 ECTS credits to complete studium⁺, including at least 20 ECTS credits from subject-specific offerings.

To have your participation in studium+ officially documented, you need to register for the academic achievements you complete as part of the programme via BOSS or HISinOne, just as you do for your regular studies. As soon as you register for a studium+ academic achievement, you automatically become a studium⁺ participant.

For some offerings, you also need to register for the individual course or event. If registration is required, you will find this information in the details of the respective course in the course catalogue.

Once you have successfully completed studium+, your standard period of study is extended by one semester. You will also receive a certificate documenting the academic achievements you have completed.

If you don’t complete studium+, this will have no negative impact on your regular studies. Your standard period of study remains unchanged, and you can continue and complete your degree as usual.

You can also have the academic achievements you have completed as part of studium+ documented in BOSS or HISinOne.

If you have any questions about the programme, you can reach out to the contact persons at your department. If needed, they can also help you plan your individual study path.
