Corporate Center Construction and Facility Management

Apart from coordinating, organizing, and carrying out construction measures, the corporate center’s core task is technical, infrastructural, and commercial facility management.

Facility Management (FM) is responsible for organizing technical operations and ensuring good working conditions for teaching, research, and study as well as the long-term maintenance of building fabric, technical equipment, and facilities. Facility Management’s objective is to ensure safe, economical, and energy-optimized operation of the university’s buildings and infrastructure.

  • New construction, renovation, and conversion measures
  • Building maintenance and appeals
  • Coordination between BLB NRW (NRW Building and Real Estate Department) and companies regarding construction planning, preparation, and implementation
  • Tendering, execution, accounting, inspection and approval, and documentation of own construction measures
  • Participatory procedures, staff councils, and representation for severely disabled persons
  • Architectural development planning for North Campus and South Campus
  • Negotiations, maintenance planning, operational planning with BLB NRW
