KURT
KURT is the name of the Institute of Journalism's editorial departments, which prepare students to work for all types of media, be it online, social media, television, radio or print.
On the online pages, student reporters report on everyday life on campus, pick up on current topics and (supra-)regional news.
In the TV editorial department, journalism students learn the television craft in practice and are subsequentlyand are then well trained in the essential areas of television and video journalism. They are supported by trainees from TU Dortmund University who are learning the profession of "media designer picture and sound" at nrwision - the TV learning station for North Rhine-Westphalia. At eldoradio*, journalism students present the radio magazine "KURT - the morning in eldoland*" every morning from 8 to 10.
The teaching editorial teams work together cross-medially and the students are not divided according to medium, but according to thematic departments, so that they can be deployed in thedifferent editorial departments and get to know the whole range of journalism.
