In this degree program, students work with topics such as:
- current research knowledge on medical and therapeutic approaches to complex physical impairments
- critical reflection on diagnostic procedures for assessing physical and motor development aspects
- innovative technologies and digital assistance systems and ethical reflection on their use within an educational context
- collegial case discussions and multi-professional support planning, also in cooperation with medical and therapeutic specialists
- preparation of expert reports, including for the determination of special educational needs

In the Master of Education degree program, students complete an internship semester consisting of:
- a five‑month school internship (20 weeks)
- It is recommended to prepare for this internship during the first master’s semester and complete it in the second semester.
During the internship semester, students gain deep insights into everyday school life and connect their theoretical knowledge with hands‑on experience. The internship is prepared and supervised at three learning sites: the university, the Center for Practical Teacher Training, and the school.
