The preliminary courses are always independent of an admission/confirmation of enrollment for a study program at the TU Dortmund University, so they can be attended without prerequisites - however, please note the information on registration on the linked websites.

Pre-courses Mathematics
The prerequisite courses for Mathematics for Science and Engineering I, Mathematics for Science and Engineering II and Mathematics for Mathematics, Statistics as well as Teaching Mathematics can be found on the pages of the Department of Mathematics
Pre-course in Mathematics (Economics)
In the preliminary course, the most important knowledge of school mathematics relevant for the WiWi bachelor course "Mathematics" is repeated. The pre-course is therefore especially aimed at students who want to refresh and/or improve their knowledge of mathematics. Participation in it is voluntary.

Pre-course Econometrics (Master Economics)
The aim of the preliminary course is to learn or refresh previous knowledge in mathematics and statistics, which is required for the compulsory module "Econometrics", but also for other mathematically or statistically oriented modules of the Master's program. In addition to a daily lecture, tutorials are also offered in which the lecture content is repeated/deepened in smaller groups and applied by means of exercises. Participation in the preliminary course is voluntary.

Pre-course Statistics Master
A preliminary course for master students of the Faculty of Statistics is offered again this year.

Pre-course Computer Science
The preliminary course in Computer Science is intended for first-year students of Computer Science, Applied Computer Science (Engineering Computer Science), the teacher training program in Computer Science at Secondary Level II and all computer science related disciplines.

Pre-course Physics
The preliminary course of the Faculty of Physics takes place before the beginning of the lecture period of the winter semester and is strongly recommended for all first-year students in physics (bachelor and teaching degree) and medical physics .

Pre-course Chemistry
In the preliminary course of the Deparment of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (CCB), contents of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and mathematics from school are repeated and partly deepened. Information about times and registration will be announced on the website of the CCB faculty. It is recommended that this preliminary course be taken by students in the bachelor's degree programs in chemistry and chemical biology as well as in the teacher training programs with chemistry as a subject (Gymnasium/Gesamtschule, Berufskolleg, Haupt-/Real-/Sekundar-/Gesamtschule).
