Workshop "Speedconnecting – finde neue Kontakte auf dem Campus“
The concept of speed dating is a tried-and-tested icebreaker for meeting new people. The psychological student advisory services of the Studierendenwerk and TU Dortmund University make use of this as part of the Speed Connecting event. Whether you want to meet new people or are looking for a study buddy, a few rounds of Speed Connecting will allow you to build completely new connections.
At last semester’s event, accompanied by snacks and drinks, various ideas came up about what students can experience for free in Dortmund to help these new connections last.
Thursday, 07 May 2026 from 3:00-7:00 PM
Location will be provided after registration
Registration for speed connecting starting in April
Workshop "Bridging Worlds: Managing family expectations and your mental health"
Thursday, 25 May 2026 from 5:00-6:30 PM
Location will be provided after registration
This workshop is conducted in English and offers a supportive space for international students to explore the pressures of family expectations and the challenges of openly discussing personal struggles. The group is not about right or wrong, but about sharing experiences, understanding your feelings, and exploring ways to navigate family and cultural expectations while taking care of your well-being. The session provide opportunities for exchange, reflection, and practical guidance to strengthen well-being while honoring both cultural values and academic demands.
