Avoiding Predatory Journals and Conferences
TU Dortmund University advises its researchers in regards to scientific quality control. This includes publishing results in peer-reviewed journals and presenting their findings at legitimate conferences and meetings.
Predatory publishers will accept and publish research results for often considerable fees but without quality control by peer-review. Publication Services advise in regards to identifying legitimate publishers and journals. Please contact Dr. Kathrin Höhner for further advice.
On a similar note, predatory conferences invite and accept research contributions without previous quality control by peer-review. For advice and previous experience regarding predatory conferences please contact the Vice President Research.
