First-time graduates

While 78 out of 100 children from academic homes go to university, only 25 out of 100 children from non-academic homes do(DZHW 2024).

In addition to persistent inequality structures such as a lack of funding sources and less information about studying from the immediate environment, mental barriers are also often a decisive factor. Non-academic children often lack role models and are unsure whether studying could really be the right path for them.
