It is important for TU Dortmund University to ensure that students and employees with disabilities or chronic illnesses have equal access to general higher education, which is why it is actively working to ensure the greatest possible equality of opportunity and thus inclusion.

People who suffer from a long-term or chronic illness have a particularly difficult time in the world of work. If they have been ill for a long time, they need support in returning to work. Their employer is even obliged to offer them help in the form of company integration management (BEM for short).
