Here you will find information about the semester and lecture period as well as deadlines for re-registration and other status matters.
Please note that the deadlines listed below apply to all applicants.

Please note that the postmark of TU Dortmund University is valid for timely receipt. The following delivery options are available for letters subject to deadlines, as well as for all other documents and records:

- Drop in the outside mailbox of the Student Services Department in front of the building Emil-Figge-Str. 61, 44227 Dortmund You can drop in documents at any time to meet a deadline!

Schedule winter semester 2025/2026
Semester: 01.10.2025 - 31.03.2026
Lecture period: 13.10.2025 - 06.02.2026
days off: 03.10.2025, 01.11.2025, 22.12.2025 - 02.01.2026
Application for local NC higher semesters: 15.08.2025 - 15.09.2025.
Application for those qualified in vocational education: 01.04.2025
Enrollment in open-admission programs: probably from 10.06.2025 - 10.10.2025
Enrollment in restricted-admission degree programs: according to the deadline indicated on the admission notice
Enrollment in Master's programs: deadlines vary according to department and program. (German only)
Re-registration(first-time listener): 10.06. - 25.08.2025 thereafter plus 3,40 € late fee
Re-registration(guest and second student): 10.06. - 10.10.2025 afterwards plus 3,40 € late fee
Change of course of study, change of subject, leave of absence from studies: (if possible after booking the semester fee) no later than 10.10.2025
Change of degree program from Bachelor's to Master's degree programs: The deadlines vary depending on the department and the degree program. Please refer to the corresponding general overview of deadlines. (German only)
Exmatriculation: At any time, but not retroactively. In case of exmatriculation before the start of lectures, the semester fee is refundable.
Payment of semester fees: 10.06. - 22.08.2025
Refund of semester fees after exmatriculation: Please refer to the campus portal for further explanations.

Semester: 01.04.2026 - 30.09.2026
Lecture period: 13.04.2026 - 24.07.2026

Examination dates are not published here. Depending on the department and degree program, these are announced directly via the Central Examination Administration or via the website of the respective departement. If you have any questions, please contact your responsible contact person at the Central Examination Administration.
