Talent scouts are dispelling stereotypes
The presentation focused on common misconceptions and facts about scholarships. The diverse range of programs takes into account not only highly gifted students, but also different life paths, forms of engagement, and personal backgrounds. The talent scouts clearly explained the benefits a scholarship offers beyond financial support and just how broad the range of funding opportunities actually is. Particularly valuable were the insights into typical selection processes, as well as recommendations on how to authentically present one’s own strengths.
In addition, the teams from TU Dortmund University and FH Dortmund presented their counseling and support services. These include individualized guidance through the scholarship application process, as well as presentations and information days designed to prepare interested students for each specific step.
Many participants left with new perspectives and concrete next steps—and the realization that scholarships are accessible to far more people than is often assumed.
