feat. Teacher Education

Get a hands-on look at the teacher education program on campus

The event, organized in collaboration with talents4teachers and Talentscouting, offered prospective students the opportunity to gain a diverse and practical insight into the teaching profession and teacher education programs.

To kick things off, visitors had the opportunity to explore key locations on campus during a guided tour. After a short break, the group moved on to the lab, where participants were able to take part in an eye-tracking experiment. This provided fascinating insights into scientific methodologies and current research methods in the field of education.

This was followed by a presentation on teacher education, which provided information on the structure of the program, challenges, and career prospects. The subsequent speed-dating session with teachers from the “My Path – Your Opportunity” event series—organized and facilitated by the talent scouting team—gave participants the opportunity to engage in one-on-one conversations in small groups and gain personalized insights into everyday professional life. The question-and-answer session that followed in particular highlighted the participants’ keen interest: Numerous nuanced and personal questions were asked, including those about subject selection, the actual workload of teachers, dealing with students experiencing mental health challenges, and experiences during their studies. Current topics such as the use of AI in everyday school life were also discussed in depth.

The event concluded with a group pizza dinner in a relaxed atmosphere, during which participants were able to further deepen their discussions.

In the end, the participants were enthusiastic about the exciting insights and the practical relevance of the event.
