All students who were enrolled at a higher education institution in Germany on 1 December 2022, and who had their residence or habitual abode in Germany at that time, will receive the one-off payment of 200 euros. This also includes part-time and doctoral students, but not auditing students (“Gasthörer*innen”). International students who were enrolled at TU Dortmund University on 1 December 2022 and had their place of residence in Germany are equally eligible. Students who have already received 300 euros in energy price allowance through a part-time job may also apply for the one-off payment of 200 euros. Students who are no longer enrolled, but were enrolled at the time of the deadline, can also apply for the one-off payment. For this purpose, the UniAccount of these students for the campus portal is temporarily reactivated to allow access to the login data stored there.
How TU students receive the access data
The energy price allowance itself can be applied for. Before actually applying, a BundID account must first be created on id.bund.de, if this has not already been done.
TU Dortmund University provides enrolled students with the access code that is necessary to submit the application to the Federal Government. This is provided automatically via the campus portal. There, students also receive a PIN that can be used for identification when applying if the BundID account cannot be created via Elster certificate or online ID function, but the option “user name and password” has been selected.
Detailed information on the one-off payment with instructions, FAQ and hotline is available on the website of the Federal Government:
