International Student Council

The number of English-language master’s degree programs at TU Dortmund University as well as the number of international students has increased significantly in recent years. In order to reflect the growing importance of the international student body at TU Dortmund University, the International Student Council was established in the summer semester of 2025 on the initiative of the Vice President for International Affairs.

The International Student Council is a committee chaired by the Vice President for International Affairs. It meets twice per semester and represents international students from all 17 faculties at TU Dortmund University. The aim of the committee is to create an institutionally anchored mouthpiece for international students at TU Dortmund University through which they can voice their concerns. The aim is to address the challenges of everyday student life and to develop innovative ideas that will benefit future international students at TU Dortmund University. The Council's affiliation with the Vice President for International Affairs ensures that these issues are strategically integrated.
