TU Dortmund University’s comprehensive continuing education programs are designed for people of all ages and at every stage of their careers. They promote democratic skills, familiarize participants with new technologies, and prepare them for the next step in their careers. Entrepreneurship and technology transfer are key focuses: through a wide range of training programs, the Center for Entrepreneurship & Transfer (CET) teaches the fundamentals of entrepreneurial thinking and action.
Ready to Start a Business!
Within just a few weeks, cetup.ID uses the Lean Start-up approach to teach you how to test, develop, and present an idea.
The modular training programs introduce current methods such as design thinking and agile project management and interactively explore issues in the areas of innovation, start-up, and technology transfer. They are open to students and staff from all departments.
The Entrepreneurship Certificate Program at TU Dortmund University offers students from all departments the opportunity to acquire entrepreneurial skills beyond their core field of study.
The Entrepreneurship Education Circle is a community of faculty members from all departments at our university as well as CET staff. In regular meetings, participants discuss current developments in entrepreneurship education. The goal: to develop and implement innovative teaching formats.
DLAB: Getting Off to a Successful Start
Connect with like-minded people, get to know companies, and build your own start-up: that’s what DLAB is all about – an extracurricular program for students starting in their fourth semester. The Ruhr School of Design Thinking, initiated by the University Alliance (UA) Ruhr, also offers mentoring and discussions specifically on the topic of design thinking.
EUREF Degree Programs: Expertise for the Energy Transition
At the EUREF campus in Düsseldorf, students will soon be able to enroll in four English-language master degree programs focused on the energy transition. The programs are offered by the “International Academy for German Engineering and Science” (IAGES) – a collaboration between the universities of the UA Ruhr and the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. From energy management to sustainable building design and low-emission logistics: The goal is to train skilled professionals whom the economy needs for a climate-neutral future.
Center for Higher Education: Expanding Competencies
Practical and scientifically grounded: The Center for Higher Education (zhb) is responsible for the TU Dortmund University’s key continuing education activities. From certificate courses and seminars to workshops and customized programs: The offerings are diverse and aimed at anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and skills in a targeted manner.
DAPF: Making Schools Future-Ready
Schools have the task of equipping children and young people with the necessary skills for their professional lives and their future. This is becoming increasingly important in light of the rapid changes in the world of work. The German Academy for Educational Leaders (DAPF) at TU Dortmund University offers training programs that empower teachers and school administrators to make their schools fit for the future.
