Under bright sunshine, Campus North was once again transformed into a huge summer party on Thursday, July 9: Together with family and friends, students and staff at TU Dortmund University celebrated the upcoming end of the semester. The numerous booths set up by the university’s departments, faculties, and student councils invited visitors to join in the fun at the traditional summer festival, while live bands and ensembles created a festive atmosphere on stage.

The many guests who flocked to the campus were once again treated to a colorful program between Martin-Schmeißer-Platz and the “Straße der Ingenieure”: Guests of all ages could experience exciting experiments with liquid nitrogen and soccer-playing robots, compete in quiz duels and sports challenges, immerse themselves in digital worlds with VR headsets, or check out a race car built entirely by students. International students sold food from their home countries, and at DIY booths and photo booths, visitors could get creative themselves and take home memories to cherish.

On the two stages, live bands and TU ensembles kept the energy high. The dance groups and the cheerleading team from the university’s sports program also thrilled the audience with their performances and spread dance fever across campus. In addition, visitors had the chance to try out various sports for themselves, such as bouldering. The traditional summer festival was supported by the Society of Friends of TU Dortmund University (GdF), audalis Punge & Partner mbB, Sparkasse Dortmund, and the Dortmund Student Services Association.
