Between Emil-Figge-Straße 50 and the “Straße der Ingenieure” (Street of the Engineers), the institutions, departments, and student councils offered a wide range of activities. For example, guests of all ages could test their skills in an archaeology duel, try various sports such as archery or bouldering, or don a VR headset to fly through a virtual logistics course as a drone.
The Summer Festival also offered culinary delights: at their booths, students sold international dishes from their home countries and churned ice cream using liquid nitrogen. Providing the soundtrack were DJs, ensembles, and live bands—including professors, students, and staff performing live on stage. Bollywood rhythms and rousing rock ’n’ roll thrilled the crowd during performances by the university sports’ Bollywood and Rock’n’Rookies dance troupes. The cheerleading team delighted spectators with their acrobatic stunts.
The traditional festival was supported by the Association of Friends of TU Dortmund University (GdF), Sparkasse Dortmund, and the Studierendenwerk Dortmund (Association for Student Affairs).
