General Student Committee
The General Student Committee (AStA) represents the student body at the University. The representatives are elected by the Student Assembly, there is a chairperson as well as officers for various areas of responsibility, such as higher education policy, culture and social affairs.
Apart from representing the students of TU Dortmund University, the General Student Committee offers a range of services, including advice on student loans and grants under Germany’s Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG) or on balancing studies and part-time employment as well as legal and social counseling. The General Student Committee also helps with finding accommodation and job placements as well as providing a bicycle workshop, information on travel passes and discounts at the General Student Committee’s copy shop.
