In 2022 the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security was founded and will hire 12 additional professors and research groups within the next three years. The Center addresses the trustworthiness of intelligent systems, e.g., in safety-critical applications or in social media. A unique, human-centered research approach covers the entire interdisciplinary research of trustworthy data analytics, explainable machine learning, and privacy-aware algorithms.

- Shyam Sundar, Professor of Media Effects, Co-Director Media Effects Research Laboratory and Director of the Center for Socially Responsible Artificial Intelligence, Penn State University
