6th International Summer School on Resource-Aware Machine Learning (REAML 2022)

Start: End: Location: Hybrid Event: Live at TU Dortmund University & streamed Lectures
Event type:
  • English Language Events
  • Workshop
The summer school organized by the Collaborative Research Center 876 (SFB 876) on Resource-aware Machine Learning provides lectures on the latest research in machine learning, typically with the twist on resource consumption and how these can be reduced. This year’s summer school will be held from 12-16 September 2022.

The Summer School will be offered as a hybrid event with local participation for participants/lecturers that could travel to Dortmund and streamed lectures for those that cannot visit Dortmund due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will thus be a mixture of local and remote lectures. All lectures will also be streamed via Zoom and Youtube to the remote audience. Lectures will be available on-demand on YouTube during the week of the Summer School. Each lecture will be accompanied by a Q&A session. There will be a dedicated space (Student’s Corner) for presenting PhD/PostDoc research and a hackathon about "Predicting Virus-Like Particles in Liquid Samples" to test their knowledge of Machine Learning and cyber-physical systems in a real-world scenario.

A selection of course topics: Efficient federated learning, From k-means to deep learning, The generalization mystery in deep learning, Reproducible data analysis, Understanding inverse problems.
