Good Scientific Practice

Books in the library.TU Dortmund is dedicated to upholding the principles of good scientific practice. The primary expression of good scientific practice is the scientists' continuous self-assessment of their own methods and outcomes for accuracy. The principles also require all scientists to be honest with themselves, the academic world, and the general public in all aspects of their scientific work.

Guide to Good Scientific Practice                                                                              

Members of the Senate and the Commission to Safeguard Good Scientific Practice have developed a concise and practical three-page handout on good scientific practice. This guide addresses young as well as experienced researchers and students. Using a variety of examples, it shows the range of possible scientific misconduct – from plagiarism to forging data.
