Together for visibility: New York, Moscow, São Paulo

Grafik: Netzwerk aus grauen und blauen KugelnTogether with Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen, TU Dortmund University is expanding its international relations. Currently, the three universities maintain three Liaison Offices abroad as part of the University Alliance Ruhr with the aim of encouraging foreign academics to come to the Ruhr Area and to open up further opportunities for their own academics to acquire international experience: the first joint liaison office was opened in New York back in 2004, followed by the Moscow office in 2009 and the Brazil office in 2011.

UA Ruhr Office New York

The non-profit UA Ruhr Liaison Office USA is based in New York City. It was established by the three Ruhr Area universities to encourage American students and researchers to join our academic network and to promote the Ruhr Area around the country at various universities and other academic institutions. Over the years, it has forged more than 520 links in the USA and holds conferences and congresses at its office in New York City.

UA Ruhr Office Moscow

The second non-profit UA Ruhr Liaison Office opened its doors in March 2009. Its mission is to raise awareness in Russia for the Ruhr Area as a destination for research and education. The network aims to strengthen cooperation between the three Ruhr Area universities and Russian academic institutions, to extend research collaboration and to expand student exchange. The office in Moscow helps researchers from Dortmund to launch or intensify cooperation with Russia and also organizes conferences.

UA Ruhr Office Latin America

The third UA Ruhr Liaison Office was opened in São Paulo, Brazil, in May 2011. Its seeks to facilitate and strengthen cooperation between the three UA Ruhr universities and institutions in Brazil and other Latin-American countries.
