Degree Programs from A to Z
The Mechanical Engineering degree program is strongly research-oriented. Numerous research activities and a variety of courses conducted jointly with partners from industry ensure practical training in all aspects of product development and manufacturing.
to the degree program Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.))
Mechanical engineering makes a crucial contribution to our society's state of technical development. The production of all industrial and consumer goods depends on the work of mechanical engineers. Both the design of machines and plants and the development of new manufacturing processes require not only special technical expertise, but also well grounded knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, computer science, and business economics.

The Master’s program “Mechanics of Sustainable Materials and Structures” is a multiple-degree diploma offered through joint training activities by the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering of TU Dortmund University (Germany), the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento (Italy) and the Department of Mechanics, Materials and Civil Engineering of the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France).

More and more, medicine is also applied physics. It has long been impossible to imagine hospitals or doctors' offices without highly complex and sophisticated equipment. Ultrasound sensors show deposits in arteries, strong magnetic fields in tomographs make muscles, organs and fat visible. Not only in diagnosis, but also in treatment, things are physical: lasers cut more precisely than scalpels, accelerators destroy tumors with high-energy radiation and spare healthy tissue all around.

In the framework of the Master’s degree program, students deepen and expand the knowledge and skills they have acquired in their Bachelor’s degree. On the one hand, they reflect deeper on musical contents and examine how these are interpreted in practice and on the other hand innovative projects sharpen their outlook.
to the degree program Music Journalism (Master of Arts (M.A.))
Expertise in music and professionalism in the use of media. This is the goal of the Bachelor’s degree program in music journalism and music education. The course, a cooperation between the Institute of Music and Musicology and the Institute of Journalism, aims to meet the requirements specifically in the communication of "sophisticated music" in classical, film, jazz or pop. On this basis, students learn the technical and methodological craft to be able to apply, critically question and explore media in relation to music culture.
