Series of Lectures "Right from the Start
The enrollment is done and you are looking forward to your start your studies, because an exciting time begins!
You may already be asking yourself: When and how exactly will my studies actually start? What can I expect and how can I find the necessary information, not only at the beginning but also during my studies?
Questions upon questions, and on top of that there is the fact that studying is quite different from school: independent learning, more individual freedom, but also responsibility, the freedom to decide, for example which courses to attend and when to study during the semester break. The first encounters with the subject take place in the preliminary courses, which serve to prepare students for their studies.
In the pre-study phase, however, the focus should not only be on professional support, but also on self-reliance and learning skills - two important competencies within the study program. Dealing with topics such as financing studies and scientific work are also part of a successful start to studies.
This is exactly where the lecture series "Right from the Start" comes in. The lectures will focus on answering the following questions:
- How do I organize my time?
- What learning strategies are there?
- How does studying work at all?
- How do I finance my studies?
- What does it mean to work scientifically?
