Psychological Support for International Students

Around 20 percent of students at TU Dortmund University are international, and many face particular challenges while studying in Germany. Since February 2025, TU Dortmund University has been systematically expanding its psychological support services for international students. Funding for the project “Mental fit durchs Studium in Deutschland” („Mentally Fit During Your Studies in Germany“) enables the Psychological Student Advisory Service to provide additional capacity for English-language individual counseling, workshops, and group coaching sessions.
In cooperation with faculties, the International Office, and other central units of the university, the project continuously assesses the specific support needs of international students and develops and implements a catalogue of measures.
Interested students and staff members can contact the team of the Psychological Student Advisory Service. Contact details and information on available services can be found on the homepage as well as in the bilingual newsletter of the Psychological Student Advisory Service.
