Painting, exchanging, networking

Paint & Talk went into the second round

On March 26, the "Paint & Talk" event took place for the second time in the TU Dortmund University's art halls as part of the talent scouting program. Pupils and students came together in a creative atmosphere to paint together, exchange ideas and make new contacts.

The format was accompanied by talent scout Barbara Bernhard and Kolja Knies, who coordinates the peer formats. The aim of the event was to stimulate conversations through creative impulses and to give the participants space to reflect on their personal perspectives.

The focus was on painting together: In short, predetermined time slots, the participants artistically implemented various themes. These included motifs such as an animal, their own current mood or the next three steps into the future. These exercises provided a low-threshold introduction to discussing individual life paths, goals and challenges.

The open and appreciative atmosphere was also reflected in the fact that many discussions were held in English – among other things to include a participant from India. This was perceived as enriching by all participants and contributed to a lively, intercultural dialog.

There was a lot of laughter and relaxed conversation throughout the event. In the end, numerous colorful and personal works of art were created, which the participants were able to take home with them.

At the end of the event, snacks and drinks were served and the conversation continued in a relaxed atmosphere. "Paint & Talk" not only offered a creative approach to topics relating to the future and education, but also strengthened the sense of community and networking among the participants.
