With the presentation "Scholarships – not just for the gifted", talent scouts from TU Dortmund University and Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts provided a comprehensive insight into scholarship programs and funding opportunities. Numerous pupils and students took the opportunity to obtain practical, first-hand information.
The presentation focused on common misconceptions and truths about scholarships. The diverse programs not only take into account highly talented people, but also different CVs, forms of commitment and personal backgrounds. The talent scouts vividly explained the benefits of a scholarship beyond financial support and how broad the range of funding opportunities actually is. The insights into typical selection procedures and recommendations on how to authentically present one's own strengths were particularly valuable.
In addition, the teams from TU Dortmund University and Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts presented their advisory and support services. These include individual support on the path to a scholarship as well as lectures and information days that prepare interested parties specifically for the individual steps.
Many participants took away new perspectives and concrete next steps – and the realization that a scholarship is attainable for far more people than is often assumed.
