In the winter semester 2025/26, the digital lecture series will take place for the sixth time. It offers an interdisciplinary program that is open to everyone and forms part of the studium oecologicum.

The Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering and the Sustainability Office of TU Dortmund University are once again jointly organizing the public, interdisciplinary lecture series “Climate: Change, Values, Science” in the winter semester 2025/26. The series provides fundamental information on climate protection, offers an overview of the actors involved, the consequences and risks of climate protection, and gives insights into climate research from various disciplines. At the same time, it aims to encourage participants to become actively engaged in climate protection themselves.

The fourteen lectures begin on 17 October 2025 and will take place on Fridays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., partly as online webinars and partly in person.

The lecture series is aimed at students of all departments as well as the general public. It can be taken as a module within the studium fundamentale or as an elective module in the Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering. Within the studium oecologicum, it counts as a foundational module.

Students can register for the lecture series via the online university portal LSF. Employees of TU Dortmund University and external participants can register using the following form. Access data will then be sent by e-mail.
