1: Green campus

TU Dortmund University is a campus university: everything is close together here, the facilities are beautifully green, especially during the summer semester, and they are also easy to reach by bike.

2: Wide range of courses at the UA Ruhr

The three universities in the Ruhr region cooperate as the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr). Students at TU Dortmund University can also take courses at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

3: Sports - or would you rather go to the theater?

The university sports program offers around 75 sports, from volleyball to pilates to rowing. Here you can quickly get to know other people. If you prefer to go to the opera, you can benefit from the "Theaterflat" (only in german): With your digital student ID, you can get remaining tickets at the box office for free.

4: Big city with affordable rent

Dortmund is one of the ten largest cities in Germany, but still offers affordable rents. Around 380 euros in monthly rent is the cost of typical student accommodation, significantly less than in Hamburg or Berlin.

The excellent TU network offers numerous opportunities for a stay abroad during your studies.
The main focus of the partner programs is the USA. TU students can spend a tuition-free semester here.

8: Scholarships

TU Dortmund University is involved in the "StipendienKultur Ruhr" program. The university helps to find a suitable scholarship and awards around 250 German scholarships itself.

9: Kick-off in the most beautiful stadium in the world

Every year, all 5,000 first-year students are invited to Signal-Iduna-Park to kick off the semester. The La Ola wave in the North Stand guarantees goose bumps.

10: The Winterbergexpress

From Dortmund, the westbound train crosses the Ruhr region with its 53 cities in one hour. Heading southeast, on the other hand, you can reach the ski resorts in the Sauerland region in just two hours in winter.
