Application and enrollment

We are pleased that you would like to start your studies at TU Dortmund University. Currently, enrollments are possible via the campus portal. Please note the different deadlines. If you have certificates from abroad, other deadlines may apply.

Enrollment deadlines:

  • Bachelor's degree programs with open admission: Enrollment until 6 October, 2023
  • Bachelor's degree programs with restricted admission: Enrollment depending on admission notice (application due by 15 July). In some cases, remaining places will be allocated via
    - Enrollment without application until October 6, 2023
    - lottery procedure
  • Master's degree programs: Enrollment deadlines vary, in some programs you can enroll throughout the year: Overview in German (PDF)
  • Doctoral programs: all year round

Enrollment via Campus Portal: Here's how:

You can enroll via our Campus Portal. Please select the desired degree program there and go through the online enrollment. Once you have completed online enrollment, you will be given the opportunity to digitally upload the documents required for enrollment. Please note the enrollment and acceptance deadlines.

Change of degree program

If you are already enrolled at TU Dortmund University, please submit an application for a change of degree program (PDF in German) together with the required documents listed therein to the Student's Registration Office in due time. You can also submit the application by mail to studiengangswechseltu-dortmundde.
