TU Dortmund University is closed from 24 December to 1 January.

TU Dortmund University takes a winter break over the Christmas holidays and the turn of the year. From 24 December until including 1 January, the university is closed. The lecture period resumes on 8 January.

Libraries

On Saturday, 23 December, the Sebrath Library is open until 8 p.m. and the Emil-Figge-Library is open until 10 p.m.. Both are staffed with security personnel, but no longer offer library services. The two departmental libraries Architecture and Civil Engineering as well as Spatial Planning are closed from 23 December, as is the CoLeaning-Space.

On Tuesday, 2 January 2024, the libraries and the CoLearning-Space are open again during the usual hours. The current opening hours of the different libraries can be found on the website of the University Library.

Cafeterias and Coffee Shops

The Main Cafeteria, Galerie, Archeteria, and Café C at Emil-Figge-Street are closed from 23 December until 7 January. Café C in the foyer of the mensa building also closes on 23 December but reopens on 2 January already. food fakultät and the cafeteria on the South Campus are closed from 22 December until 7 January.

University Sports

The University Sports courses take place for the last part on 22 December and start again on 8 January. The campus gym Fitnessförderwerk closes on Thursday, 21 December at 5.30 p.m. and opens again on Saturday, 6 January.
