Together everyone achieves more: Acting on this maxim, TU Dortmund University joined forces with the Ruhr Universität Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen to form the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) back in 2007. The approximately 110,000 students can take advantage of courses offered at all three universities. In order to bundle top international research, the UA Ruhr established four joint Research Centers and a College for Social Sciences and Humanities under the umbrella of the "Research Alliance Ruhr" in 2021.
