Research-oriented Gender Equality Standards

In 2008, the "Research-Oriented Standards on Gender Equality" of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) were adopted for the first time. With this voluntary commitment, DFG members define personnel and structural standards for a sustainable gender equality policy in the science and higher education landscape. The central goal is to significantly increase the proportion of women at all scientific career levels.

In 2017, the DFG's General Assembly reconfirmed its commitment to the Research-Oriented Gender Equality Standards and decided to request qualitative reports on changing focus topics in the future.

At TU Dortmund University, the Staff Unit Equal Opportunities, Family and Diversity prepares these reports.
