Transfer and Third Mission

The topic of transfer is established as a third pillar (third mission), complementary to research and teaching, at TU Dortmund University. The goal is a multidirectional exchange and flow of knowledge, competencies and technologies between the university and society, business and politics. Through the transfer, it will also be possible for the TU Dortmund to expand third-party funding in particular in the area of contract research and technology transfer projects and to generate project impetus for research projects.

The developed measures complement and expand the regular offer of TU Dortmund University in the area of transfer and third mission. Further information can be found on the page of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Transfer.

In addition to the previous offers, further innovative measures were developed and implemented under the responsibility of Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoffjan and Dr. Ronald Kriedel as well as Dr. Christoph Besenfelder.

Measures

Established structures and standardized process steps simplify and accelerate start-ups so that research results can be brought into broad application in new ways together with partners.
