Diversity, Equal Opportunities and Family Friendliness

Within the framework of its founding mission, it is the TU's task to make diversity sustainably visible, to enable it and to secure it. TU Dortmund University unites diverse personalities, competencies and experiences. This diversity gives TU Dortmund University identity, it enriches and makes it an open and dynamic place of encounter and lively exchange.

In addition to the previous offers, further innovative measures were developed and implemented under the responsibility of Prof. Dr. Christiane Pott and Dr. Ute Zimmermann.

Measures

The campaign "I am TU" focuses on the people who make up TU Dortmund University. Researchers, employees and students report on what moves them personally. In this way, dimensions of diversity become visible and usable. The focus is on togetherness, the feeling of togetherness and how this has a positive impact on the research, teaching and learning environment.

The Female Faculty Club is intended to help bring female professors at TU Dortmund University into contact across faculties and to initiate discussions. Networks of female professors can increase the visibility of female scientists and also develop an inward appeal. Both are important concerns for the TU Dortmund University. The network meets for monthly lunch meetings during the semester and once a year for the big assembly.
