Internationalisation of Study and Teaching

The increasing number of English-language Master's degree programs at TU Dortmund University is making the campus more and more attractive for both international and German students. In view of the shortage of skilled labor and growing global networking, internationally oriented teaching will continue to be essential in the future. In order to support lecturers and departments in the implementation of English-language teaching, the Vice President International Affairs and the Corporate Center University Development and Organization have developed a handout that shows further possibilities for the configuration and implementation of support.

The guideline paper clarifies the different requirements for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs and explains the awarding of "joint degrees" in cooperation with international universities. The English-language programs are explicitly not only aimed at students from abroad, but should also open up new opportunities for German-speaking students, depending on the subject culture and professional environment. The English course content serves primarily to introduce students to academic work or professional practice in an international context.
