der TU Dortmund ist es kurzfristig gelungen, den Tech-Investor Andreas von Bechtolsheim für einen Vortrag an diesem Donnerstag auf dem Campus zu gewinnen. Gern möchten wir Sie zu dieser einmaligen Veranstaltung im Rahmen der Digitalen Woche Dortmund (#diwodo) einladen:

Andreas von Bechtolsheim ist einer der einflussreichsten Pioniere der Computer- und IT-Branche. Er ist nicht nur Mitgründer von Sun Microsystems (1982) und dem Cloudanbieter Arista (2004), sondern auch einer der ersten Investoren bei Google (1998). Gebürtig aus Bayern, lebt er heute im Silicon Valley und hat die technologische Revolution der letzten Jahrzehnte maßgeblich mitgestaltet.

In seinem Vortrag wird er nicht nur auf die aktuelle Entwicklung technologischer Innovationen eingehen, sondern auch einen zukunftsgerichteten Blick auf die globale Technologielandschaft werfen. Der Vortrag findet auf Englisch statt. Es gibt Gelegenheit, Fragen zu stellen und beim anschließenden Get-together zu netzwerken.

Andreas von Bechtolsheim is one of the most influential pioneers in the computer and IT industry. He is not only a co-founder of Sun Microsystems (1982) and the cloud provider Arista (2004), but was also one of the first investors in Google (1998). Born in Bavaria, he now lives in Silicon Valley and has played a key role in shaping the technological revolution of recent decades.

In his talk, he will not only discuss the current development of technological innovations, but also take a forward-looking view at the global technology landscape. The lecture will be held in English. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during the discussion and network at the get-together afterwards.
