Info Letter April 2025

Dear Readers:

The summer semester is in full swing and has a variety of events in store for the coming weeks:

The whole month of May is dedicated to the topic of diversity at TU Dortmund University. An extensive program of talks, exhibitions and discussion roundtables will address various aspects of diversity and highlight the activities of numerous TU members in this area. This year’s Sustainability Week of TU Dortmund University, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund and the Studierendenwerk Dortmund will take place from 19 to 22 May. The diverse program on campus includes lectures, guided tours and workshops.

8 May marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Nazi regime in Germany. To keep the memory of this time alive and to reflect on it in the light of current developments, we invite all TU members to the digital event “War, Memory, Warning: Perspectives 80 years after 1945” on the eve of the remembrance day.

I hope that you will find something interesting in the varied program and that you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other members of our university.

Best regards
Manfred Bayer
President of TU Dortmund University
