How do I become a doctoral researcher at TU Dortmund University? And which challenges will I face in my first year of the doctorate? This two-part online event of the Graduate Center of TU Dortmund University provides answers to both questions.

The first session is targeted at Master’s students, covering essential issues such as applying for a doctorate, funding, and doctoral supervision.

In the second session, students and early-stage doctoral researchers will learn how to successfully manage the first year of their doctorate. Additionally, participants will get to know the resources TU Dortmund University offers its doctoral researchers.

Throughout the information event, participants will learn about the peculiarities of the German scientific system, and they will discuss potential intercultural challenges associated with the German academic culture.
