The lecture by the Office of Research Support Services of TU Dortmund University will give an overview of the research landscape in Germany and will present various career options and programs at different institutions.
Research takes place in many different ways at different locations in Germany. In addition to the universities, the German science system has a large number of institutions and organisations where research and development take place. This offers young researchers a wide range of different working locations and qualification paths.
The lecture will present an overview of the research landscape in Germany and the characteristics and functions of the various types of institutions. The main focus of the presentation, however, will be on the various career opportunities and programs at different institutions.
