NRW/VRR Semester Ticket
Students of TU Dortmund University (with the exception of cross-registered students and guest auditors) receive a semester ticket for travel by public transport from the university in cooperation with AStA and the respective transport associations.
When do I get the ticket?
After successful registration or re-registration for the next semester, you will receive an email via UniMail. You will find the NRW/VRR semester ticket as a PDF file in an attachment to this e-mail. You also have the option of requesting the semester ticket again at any time via the ServicePortal.
Important: This ticket must be printed in the original size!
The semester fees to be paid already includes the amount of the semester ticket. The amount of the semester fees and the amounts it contains can be found in the current information sheet on semester fees.
Where is the ticket valid?
The printed semester ticket, together with an official photo ID, is valid as a ticket in the Public Transport Association Rhine-Ruhr (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr, VRR) as well as throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.

Lost your ticket? File deleted?
If the printed ticket is lost, it can be reprinted. If you no longer have the email with the PDF file, you can request the email again at any time via the ServicePortal.
Didn’t get your ticket?
If you have not yet received your NRW/VRR semester ticket despite your re-registration, please request it again via the ServicePortal. If the ticket is still not available, please contact the service desk of the ITMC.
